Build-a-Klip Tutorial: Phase Four

Indicators are a great way to communicate that values are within or outside of a variable or pre-determined range. For this example, let’s add an exclamation point icon indicator to Pageviews/Session to draw attention to the value if it’s ever below 10.

Phase Four: Indicators

You can follow along with our video as well as our step-by-step guide.

Select the value in the Klip Preview
Go to its Indicators Panel and click Add one now.
Your Indicators tab should look like this:
For the predicate statement, which starts with If, change the middle control to is less than and in the text field to its right change 0 to 10.
For the reaction, which starts with then, change the reaction type to display icon and use the Select icon link to select the red exclamation point icon, with Right side placement. Click the Finished button.
Your Klip should look like this:

Now, every time your data updates, Klipfolio will check the value and compare it to “10”. If it’s lower than 10, the icon will show. Higher than 10 and the icon will not show.
Save your work by using the Save command in the Save and Exit Menu.

Let's move along to the final phase, Phase Five.
