I want a way to create a graph, say Analytics, to see how my website is improving or declining over time, without putting them into excel myself. It is actually a make or break function for me to use this app.10 votes
We are investigating something that might be useful here.
It would be awesome if we could create a single view of multiple related data sources. This way, we could create the view once and then be able to repeat its use as a single data source rather than having to use multiple data sources and lookup formulas in klips each time you want to relate the data.7 votes
Great idea. We are exploring a way to do something like this. Keep watch for some updates as we focus on the Klip Editor in 2016.
// When ready...
// Set a timeout...
// Hide the address bar!
The ability to type the formula by hand after understanding the syntax
and vocabulary. For advanced developers and users, this would be a great time saver.23 votes
Looking into potential approaches.
Be able to add the klips you can download for klipfolio desktop to the web based version.6 votes
It would be great if a new user could enter in thier credentials for tools like nagios, banking sites, crm sites and be able to select from pre-made klips for those services.1 vote
Small & medium sized businesses owners check bank balances from different accounts frequently and a plug in to connect to major banking websites would be great.6 votes
In the datasource details, show which klips currently use this source.12 votes
This can be achieved now using the API (currently in beta). We are looking into exposing it in the UI in a future release.
Allow end-users to apply conditional filters to their Klips.
For example: Filter the data to show only Products = ABC, and Price < $1,000
Optionally, allow Klip builders to pre-filter the Klip, or data sources to have filters applied to them before use in a Klip.80 votes
We have been approaching this as a concept called ‘dynamic data sources’. This will allow you to create a user input control, say a drop down with geographies, and put a variable in the data source definition related to geographies.
The result would be that as a user changes the input control to, say Canada, the data source is filtered to provide data for Canada.
In the background, an instance of the data source would be created with that value from the drop down populating the variable in the data source query.
If the instance already exists, the dashboard will leverage that like any other data source. If the instance does not already exist, it would be created.
We have been testing this kind of thing for a while and are working on productizing it.
It should be possible to define each field in a different way: e.g. with prefix or w/o; etc.2 votes
Allow different alignments for column headers and contents7 votes
We’re looking at this for a table component update.
Right now, if a user wants to change a component from being a list to a table, they must start building a new Klip. The system should allow the user to switch component types on the fly. This will be even more useful when there are more chart types.
Even if all data associations and formulas are lost, it would still be useful...3 votes
For RESTful services that support parameterization, allow Klip builder to select which parameters can be exposed, and therefore configured, by end users. For example: For a brand tracking Klip, allow end users to enter keywords that can be used by the REST connector to to perform Google News searches around those keywords, and display results.5 votes
The parameterized data source feature is currently in development.
